With two cats in the yard
Life used to be so hard
Now everything is easy..."
Well, not really. Just like other homes, this old house needs some repairs and for the time being things are NOT easy!
The workers can get truck after truck into our drive and on the street, but I can't get out!
I did get another one of our cars out earlier ... after asking workers to move three trucks. I went for some groceries and had to park on the road upon returning home. You guessed it ... it took a couple trips from the car to the house to empty the car. This was to scene I saw on the walk to the house.
One little potted hosta and a few azaleas off in the distance amongst the debris.
Our driveway - this trailer has been sitting here for two weeks now. There are flowers growing somewhere under those blue tarps.
Hopefully finishing up our new roof.
Men, machines, mayhem out of every window I look...
The deck sits empty of potted plants and flowers. I don't go out for fear of having something dropped on my head!
With the noise, hammering and pounding and the all men populating the premises, I see no birds, nor squirrels. However, late one night last week, I happened to see two green eyes peering back at me from the roof of our workshop. At first I was sure it was a fox. Taking a longer look, I saw that it was a nosey cat looking into our second story window. Keep watching Kitty. Next week, they will be INSIDE the house!
My next post...a promise of things to come ... at least on the outside!

yep I can understand your frustration. My house needs repairs done to it too but imagine how awesome it will look once it's finished :-)
I can feel your pain, Deborah, but this too shall pass and you will have a lovely new roof.
Hi Deborah, We need to do some house repairs too, hopefully this summer we can do a few things. We remodeled our kitchen 3 years ago & our front bath, boy what a mess! I want you to know that I love my new sewing machine, it's not fancy, very simple & easy to use, lots of extra stitches, I'm sure you would like it too! It's a singer touch & sew. Hopefully I can start another purse tomorrow, I wanted to do that tonight but didn't work out that way! Oh well...storey of my life! Hugs***Renea
Hang in there - good things come to those who wait. I know what you mean though, I can't stand waiting.
I know it will all be wonderful when completed. And, I'll be looking forward to seeing more pictures.
It will be worth it when it's finished, but until then I understand your frustration. We are painting, UGH!
Blessings
Linda
Deborah, I love the pictures -- you will be so glad you took these! We want to see the "after" as well!
Oh, Deborah! I can imagine the frustration, but hang in there. At least they're not doing work INSIDE your home, trekking in dirt and debris, LOL! That would be even more headache inducing, I think. Like Amy says, look forward to the end results, when all is back to neat and tidy.
Gosh Deborah, no wonder you are busy with all this going on at home!! Hope it all turns out well and that you'll soon have some free time.
How's Leah doing? Hope is is well and that you are feeling better too.
See you soon I hope.
Hugs - Mary.

Hi Deborah..Oh boy... a lot of work huh. I thought this might be an easy way to my blog. lol. Laurie
A new roof--isn't that just the most terrible way to spend so much money! It doesn't make life easier like a new kitchen would. It isn't pretty and shiny like a new car. Chances are that no one will even notice it. LOL, I say all that as someone who had to put on a new roof just last fall. At least I'm now secure that I won't get water dripping on my head each time it rains. :)
It always seems to take forever but, when it is over, your pretty home will look even prettier!
I am so impatient and my husband takes forever to do things or to decide who to get to do them. I always want things done yesterday! *grin*
I look forward to seeing more pictures...and I am so happy to meet you and find your blog! I hope we get to know one another well!
Hugs,
Sue
