~POETRY ANYONE?~

Do you enjoy reading rhyming words, free verse, the words of another's heart and imagination? I do and I enjoy writing poetry - rhyming or not.

Up until lately, I had to say that I was not a published poet, but now I can say that I have published writings!

I was offered a merit-based scholarship a little over a year ago to be part of a group of unknown and for the most part, unpublished writers. There would be thirteen of us, making up The Baker's Dozen. We were to submit already written works to be made into our own mini book and compiled to make up

My feathered friends are really out in full force this beautiful day. Must be the springlike weather here. The colorful goldfinch always make me smile.


I've seen a congregation of woodpeckers this morning - they seem to be coming in flocks, something I've never seen before.

I see I almost forgot how to post - it's been THAT long! It's good to be back and I hope I can post at least a couple times a week.

Here in Raleigh, we haven't had but a few snow flurries ... actually I didn't even see them - guess they got lost in all the trees around here. I love seeing everything covered in snow and I love winter white collections. If not for our two kitties and visiting grandchildren, I would love to have more white in my home.
As opposed to crisp, beachy summer whites, winter whites are so richly creamy and warm....more of a mellowed white.
