Bye-bye for a few days

I'm off today to spend a week with my daughter in Virginia.

I thought I would leave you with photos of some new furniture in my living room. This is the first flowery furniture for my livingroom and I love it! I consider this my space to read, watch tv in and relax in when hubby is watching tv in the other room. The fru-fru sofa, chair, round ottoman and hooked area rug are new.

Let me know what you all think!

The beautifully scented teacup candle sits beside one of my favorite chairs - it's from FRANCIE'S SCENTED COTTAGE.

If you enlarge the photo above, you will see my bird nest filled with eggs from KARI AND KIJSA...on the white cherub pedestal.

I know it's coming!

Keeping watch into the evening...

Camouflaged...we don't want to frighten it away!

Maybe it's coming from the east!

Some just keep working...

Some fall asleep on their watch...

Set a kiss 'pon this maiden's cheek
I beg, place it there e'er meek

Peruse my tender girlish heart
There find a place you cannot part

Innocence I gift to thee
With merriment and with glee

Oft your boyish kiss I bespeak
To rest gently 'pon my maiden cheek

February, being the month of love, calls for a little poetry, as did a couple of visitors here on my blog.

This one is not published, but I hope you will enjoy reading this short one.

light that opens my weary eyes
wakening my spirit’s morning
causing my stilled voice to sing
force that unwraps my sleeping cover
my companion, my impassioned lover
