Finding beauty in simple things

The dandelions and buttercups

Gild all the lawn; the drowsy bee

stumbles among the clover tops,

and summer sweetens all to me.

~J.R. Lowell 1869~

Have you ever looked closely at a clover flower - a weed?

Have you ever taken a real look at a sweat bee?

Take time to look for beauty where you would least expect it.

Isn't it amazing, the care and careful design that goes into each tiny corner of nature -- from the most spectacular and pampered lilies, roses, and peonies, to the humble clover and dandelions. It is all just perfect.
Lovely photos, thanks!

I love bees, not the sting but the way they live, eat, and work. Amazing! And I love your blog!

Found your site through another one! So adorable and such lovely things! I did a 'bee' party for my daughter and thought you might like to see! http://threepixielane.blogspot.com/2010/06/busy-as-bee.html

Thanks for the reminder of 'finding beauty in the simple things.' I look at my little children's faces and am so incredibly thankful for every day.
