Pink Saturday

Hello, there! Guess who's here?

ME!

It's been such a long, long time since I've joined in the fun with Miss Beverly and all you Pink Saturday gals. I've so missed you all. Since I last did a blog post, I've been in West Virginia and Pennsylvania and we've lost a dear member of our family.

I have tried to visit as many Pink Saturday bloggers as possible these last few weeks. Now, it's time for me to show off some of my home's pinks once again.

I have wanted a room divider screen for several years. Nothing seemed to have caught my eye until this past week. I was visiting Affordable Chic here in town, when there it was! It was my colors and it was lovely.

I never wanted a screen that would used for a room divider...just something to add somewhere in our home that would make a statement. I think this is it!

Our little girl, Olivia, has taken a fancy our new decor. I've caught her cozied up in front of it several times.

Take note of the little pink teapot...a sweet gift from my cousin in West Virginia. She seems to always know just what I like.

Do you see the pretty embroidered and crocheted pillowcase folded under the teapot and books? It is one of a pair that belonged to my dear mother. I just don't have the heart to stick in my linen closet.

The wooden chest that I use for a side table beside a chair is decorated with painted pink roses.

The bucket of flowers...well, they are fake, but they are pink and I love them. I have no problem with pretty fake flowers. Of course, I would rather have fresh, but unless I visit the florist everyday... fake will do.

Like Olivia, I have taken a fancy to my new screen. I just love the way it looks sitting in front of part of our living room window.

Before you leave, let me tell you about a blogger I found on The Pink Saturday list last Saturday.
She is Komali at
Entertaining From An Ethnic Indian Kitchen.
She's a tablescaper, gardener, flower arranger, author of her own book.
When you visit her beautiful blog, go to her sidebar and click on "Tablescape" to see the most gorgeous tablesettings.
If you love Indian foods, as I do, look at her easy to follow recipes.
Tell her Deborah sent you.

Wishing you all a very happy
PINK SATURDAY!

Good morning Deborah, hooray you are blogging. I was so happy to see your name above mine. Our pup woke me up EARLY today so I am getting a head start on visiting. Meanwhile, she and Bill are still sleeping and here I am.

I love the screen so much. I have been looking for a screen too and have found nothing I like. Yours is perfect. I need it for my bedroom because Cheri's crate is in there. Not at all attractive.

I like all your pinks today. The pillowcase is so sweet and a lovely memory.

Happy to see you today.
Love, Jeanne

...and I'm commenting below sweet Jeanne. YOU ARE BACK? and I am leaving. What's up with that?
I had to take a second look. I know I'm up very very early but I have good reason. I have to get to a clinic. Yes it's 6am here in Canada too. I have a UTI (urinary track infection) and it hurts like hell. So I must get to the hosp.
Miss Bee your screen is absolutely beautiful. Your setting with the flowers, even though they are fake, look great. Olivia has good taste. Your mom's embroidery pillow case adds that perfect touch. My mom and her sister who just turned 90 will be here at a cottage near my home town next week. They are staying for 2 weeks. Deb and I will be taking care of them. I have to put my cooking hat on LOL
So nice to see you here again Miss Bee. You have no idea how I've missed you.
Love you to the moon and back.
Love Claudie

Happy Pink Saturday! Sorry to hear about your family loss. -- Love the divider and everything looks great. Great idea about the pillow case. I just tossed an embroidered pillow case of my grandmother's in a drawer the other day or a box - I was working on something and saw it there. I used to use it but it's getting worn - guess it's time to put it to a new use! Thanks! Jenn (Sweet cat!)

I really liked the doll in pink, and the bright pink crochet edging. Did you know in some cultures, plastic flowers are considered luckier than cut fresh or dried flowers? Happy Pink Saturday <3
