~Today's Backyard Friends~

My feathered friends are really out in full force this beautiful day. Must be the springlike weather here. The colorful goldfinch always make me smile.

I've seen a congregation of woodpeckers this morning - they seem to be coming in flocks, something I've never seen before.

This is a female red-bellied woodpecker isn't it? It looks like one. Most of my birds have gone south for the winter.

Your photography is excellent, by the way. And I really like what I have seen.

Thanks for visiting my blog and for commenting.

What gorgeous pictures. I'm putting a link to this blog on mine. I just started blogging a few days ago and am having a ball.

Love seeing your photos. Not a lot in my backyard at this time either, except for the occassional straggler who wanders off course...all gone south for the winter. I wish I could go south for the winter.LOL

Such beautiful birds! Thank you for steering me over here to your blog to see them! Your woodpecker looks a little more rosy in the cheeks than our's do! Is it a Downy? Our goldfinches have that wintery-olive color to them still - I love when they turn vibrant yellow in spring!
