Bye-bye for a few days

I'm off today to spend a week with my daughter in Virginia.

I thought I would leave you with photos of some new furniture in my living room. This is the first flowery furniture for my livingroom and I love it! I consider this my space to read, watch tv in and relax in when hubby is watching tv in the other room. The fru-fru sofa, chair, round ottoman and hooked area rug are new.

Let me know what you all think!

The beautifully scented teacup candle sits beside one of my favorite chairs - it's from FRANCIE'S SCENTED COTTAGE.

If you enlarge the photo above, you will see my bird nest filled with eggs from KARI AND KIJSA...on the white cherub pedestal.

Very comfy looking room...but I think you should choose either pastels or primary colors...love the red chair with the rug and side chair near fireplace. if you could find the materail from one of your throw pillows with the red plaid...then I think you'd have a winner...as it is right now too much of a mish mash

Deborah,
Your room looks so lovely and inviting! We love the bird perched on the nest!! ...and to put on a pedestal! fabulous!

You have done a wonderful job of including a great accent color, and then sprinkling it across the room! We would love to come and have tea with you...we could just picture a yummy tea cup and scone on a tray on the ottoman... and hours of great conversation!

Thank you so much for helping make kari's birthday party so wonderful- it will be a favorite memory of BOTH of ours for years to come!

blessings,
kari & kijsa

Your new furniture is so pretty Deborah - I love mixed fabrics on upholstered pieces. I can picture you curled up reading a good book, or writing some beautiful poems.

Hope you have fun at Leah's - come home soon!

Gosh your lounge looks so cosy and inviting. I don't think there's anything wrong with the colours myself :-)
