October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came-
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band.

The Chestnuts came in yellow,
The Oaks in crimson dressed;
The lovely Misses Maple
In scarlet looked their best;
All balanced to their partners,
And gaily fluttered by;
The sight was like a rainbow
New fallen from the sky.

Then, in the rustic hollow,
At hide-and-seek they played,
The party closed at sundown,
And everybody stayed.
Professor Wind played louder;
They flew along the ground;
And then the party ended
In jolly "hands around."

Deborah, I'm sorry to hear you are not well. Yes, I did receive your card and I still have it. I am so sorry I didn't acknowledge it. BJ sent a card but I never received it. she must have messed up the address somehow. It came when I was not in good shape soon after surgery. Thank you so much my sweet friend.

I hope you feel better soon. If not get yourself to the doctor girl.

Today we are expecting company for four days. they will be on their own in the cabin so I will be able to rest. Thank goodness. It has been two months and I still get so tired. sigh. They say it takes about 3 months to really recover.

Take cre of yourself...love, Jeanne

Deborah, I am doing Fridays foto. I sent you an e-mail but I don't think it went through. My computer was not connecting for half of the day today.
I didn't finish posting until 11:00am. I had to post a little at a time. sigh. I also have several comments on typepad that never actually connected to my post. Weird.
I was gone for therapy all afternoon and then time got away from me. Don't worry about linking me it isn't important. Sorry my friend. I do hope you are feeling better.

Love, Jeanne
