This week I'm featuring talented Kentucky artist, Rhonda Hartis Smith. Rhonda specializes in portrait painting and figurative painting. Her beautiful ballerinas are my favorite. The piece above is called Lost in Thought. I love the airiness and fullness of the tulle. Rhonda enjoys traveling as much as I do and a lot of her work is inspired by her travels. Oh yes, and one more fact about Rhonda...she's family...a cousin of mine!

This reminds me of the works of Degas!
Good morning Deborah. This painting puts me in mind of a Degas. Soooo beautiful. Your cousin has a wonderful talent. Do you have any of her paintings?
We are still waiting for snow to melt here. Maybe today. I hope. We have not been able to use our car in weeks. Good thing we have a big truck.
Gave a wonderful day my friend.
Love and hugs, Jeanne
Very pretty! I saw on your sidebar that you've been to Sydney! My husband is an Aussie & we lived there for over a year! :)
Deborah, thanks so much for featuring my ballerina on your blog--I am honored. Thanks everyone for visiting my blog and website!
Well hello Miss Bee. I'm not used to your new blog. It's very different.
Your cousin is very talented. The ballerina is my fave. She was funny tangling that carrot in front of the donkey lol
Of course I'm coming home after my trip. We will leave Lakeland and drive to Plantation to stay with my good friend Karen from here. We will then spend a few nights in St. Augustine, then come home. Julie has to be back in Vancouver by April 3rd. I'm so upset that I won't get to see you... can you tell I'm pouting?? I really am.
We are also going to see Jeanne and CC in GA.
BTW second time now... did you ever get my Xmas and Birthday cards???????
Love You
Love Me
xoxo
