HAPPY ANNIVERSARY...

...to me and my hubby!

Forty-four years ago today...did I say "FORTY-FOUR"?! ... I was wed to my love. How could it have been THAT long ago?

I was VERY young when my cowboy, on his
trusty steed, rode into my life.

It seems only a couple years ago when my daddy cried and held out his hand to my husband and welcomed him as his son ... that, after we had eloped. From that day forward, my husband was loved as one of my parents' own and he loved them as his own parents. He loved my brothers as if they were his own.

We didn't give up when times got hard.
It wasn't easy at first. My husband insisted on us making our own way in this new life. He worked so hard to provide for me and for our daughters who where to come four and six years later.

No marriage is without mistakes and we made some;
however, our hearts were bound with love
and we held steadfast.

Our two daughters married and gave us four awesome grandchildren who entertain us in our 'golden' years...are we there already? Perhaps we have a few more years until then.

I look forward to spending those golden years with him ...
riding off into the sunset and
seeing what adventures are to come in the future.

"Will you still need me, will you still feed me...When I'm sixty-four?"
~Paul McCartney~
(Note) I am there and he still does.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, MY DEAR.
I LOVE YOU.

OH DEAR DEBORAH AND HUBBY
Happy Anniversary. Let me be the first to say WOW.
You are so beautiful Deborah.
Many many more to come and enjoy every moment.
Going anywhere special? How about a little Mimosa and Eggs Benny from Canada. I'll send them right now.

You ask how I came up with the song? Well I just thought to google bird songs... there were many but this one made me jump up and want to dance.

Come on over and see my New Year post. I want you to be first to listen to Bob Hope and see what you think. Try and listen to the whole thing with Hubby.

Happy Anniversary. It's a rare thing to make it to 44 years, and it's getting even more rare with each passing generation. With each bump in teh road the ride gets easier. Wishing you many many more.

Sorry I'm late with congratulations on your anniversary Deborah - quite a milestone in this long life called 'marriage'. We've all had ups and downs but know they were part of the ride, and if lucky enought to weather them, old age is rather lovely when we are blessed to be sharing it with this special person. You and Larry are wonderful people, it's a privilege to know you personally.

I'm hoping you are feeling well by now and that we can meet up again soon.
Love, Mary.
